At InfoComm 2026, Barco showcased new advancements in projection, live production, and workflow automation designed to help organizations deliver more immersive audience experiences while simplifying production operations. We caught up with Domien De Wilde from Barco to learn more about the latest additions to the QDX platform and the company’s growing use of artificial intelligence within live event environments.
A major highlight was the newest addition to the QDX projector platform. Designed for themed entertainment, live events, and immersive experiences, the projector combines 4K resolution, an RGB light source, flexible lens options, and up to 45,000 lumens of brightness. The result is exceptional image quality, vibrant color reproduction, and the flexibility needed to support a wide range of projection applications.
Barco also demonstrated new AI-powered technologies aimed at improving production efficiency. Intelligent camera tracking capabilities help automate camera operation by identifying and following subjects in real time, reducing manual intervention while maintaining consistent framing and a professional viewing experience.
In addition, Barco highlighted workflow automation tools that enable a single operator to manage increasingly complex live productions. By combining automation with intelligent production technologies, organizations can streamline operations, improve scalability, and maintain high production quality with fewer resources.
